The villa resort Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa is located on Tamarin Bay (Wolmar, Flic en Flac), 25 kilometers south of the island capital Port Louis. The villas are set on a 750-meter beach of a large bay in 10 hectares of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and are oases of peace and luxury.
VILLAS
Only 65 villas - all equipped with private 15 m² pool - are set in wide grounds overlooking the garden to the sea. Of the 57 Luxury Suite Villas, 11 are directly on the beach and six are each at the end of horseshoe-shaped groups of villas in the garden. Sixteen of the villas have connecting doors and can be linked together to form family villas. Six Exclusive Suite Villas with 25 m² pool and two Presidential Villas offer even more space and comfort. In each, guests enjoy personal butler service upon request.
All villas are equipped with private pool, indoor and outdoor shower, hairdryer, TV, CD/DVD player, internet access, iPod station, minibar and espresso machine.
FOOD & DRINK
Two à la carte restaurants and a bar offer plenty of choices for the few guests. The sea-view "Coast2Coast" serves all-day Mediterranean, Mauritian, and international fare in a relaxed atmosphere under high, palm-leaf-covered canopies. The specialty restaurant "Cilantro" specializes in pan-Asian cuisine and also has a teppanyaki counter. The lounge bar "Breakers" serves small plates and a wide selection of premium wines in an intimate atmosphere.
SPA, SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT
The Maradiva Spa offers a variety of treatments, including Ayurvedic. Therapies and menus can be customized under the supervision and instruction of an Indian Ayurvedic doctor. A beauty salon, hydrotherapy facilities, and a meditation and yoga pavilion are also available. Snorkeling excursions in the crystal clear waters of the lagoon, water skiing, pedal boating, kayaking and windsurfing, and glass-bottom boat excursions are offered by the hotel free of charge at the boathouse on the beach. Deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, catamaran excursions or tennis training are attractive alternatives, along with a fitness room with personal trainer, for a fee.
The 18-hole golf course "Tamarina" is about 10 minutes away.
